Princess Esther Rose

Esther Rose is the doomed Princess of the Rosewick Kingdom. Though, despite her curse to fall asleep for 100 years once she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel, she remains a surprisingly optimistic and happy young lady. She isn't allowed to leave the castle, and wasn't allowed to interact with guests when she was younger, which has resulted in her being both incredibly friendly and unbearably awkward. She seems generally unaware, especially for a royal, and tends to talk a million miles a minute when meeting new people. However, despite her happy exterior, Esther Rose fears the consequences of her curse, the lack of control she has in her own story, and is much more competent than she initially seems.

Relationships

Ramona is the knight assigned to protect Esther Rose. They have a very strange relationship. Esther Rose is convinced that Ramona is meant to be her knight in shining armor who will somehow save her from her curse and sweep her off her feet so they can ride into the sunset together, and thus is madly in love with her. However, she refuses to do anything about it, instead simply trying to give the stoic knight subtle hints. Ramona thinks this is wildly inappropriate and that a knight shouldn't be with a princess.
